BLACK PENCIL'S BEST (new production)
Beauty in movement, beauty in stillness. The Elizabethan period fits Black Pencil like a glove: a paradise of experimentation for sound colour and tempo variation. This rich wealth of dances is complemented by the exuberant music of Vivaldi and Bach’s Kunst der Fuge.

The pulse is the power of imagination. Black Pencil melts the most heart-rending and virtuosic works from the Renaissance and Baroque with those of the present day. Music from the 16th, 17th and the 21st century (Baldwine, Tye, Woodson, Henry Purcell, Martijn Padding, Wim Henderickx, Klas Torstensson)
BLACK PENCIL- Interior 123 (new production)
Just imagine: a limitless experience for sound, sight, smell and touch. You barely move, yet you can move from room to room. An installation that can be visited after a concert, at a festival, in a museum or a gallery. The ultimate experience – a challenge that will continue to fascinate young and old alike.
BLACK PENCIL- Totaliter Aliter (new production)
In Totaliter Aliter maken Ensemble Black Pencil en het Nationaal Vrouwen Jeugdkoor een retourtje naar het hiernamaals. Componist Peter Vigh laat zich in zijn nieuwe compositie ‘Totaliter Aliter’ inspireren door verslagen van bijna-dood-ervaringen en het boek ‘Eindeloos Bewustzijn’ van Pim van Lommel.
BLACK PENCIL- Chanson de Geste (created in 2016-17)
Chanson de Geste is an energetic concert of about 70 minutes featuring Luciano Berio's pioneer music with other virtuoso contemporary compositions specially written for this programme, together with parts from 'Die Kunst der Fuge' by J. S. Bach (1685-1750).
BLACK PENCIL- La Volta (created in 2015)
Inspired by the famous 'First Book of Consort Lessons' (Thomas Morley, 1599). It includes early music works by Dowland, Byrd, Morley, Gibbons oa, as well as contemporary works specially written for this project by K. de Vries, D. Dramm, F. Maier, O. van Geel, R. de Man and F. Momotenko.
BLACK PENCIL- Eight Centuries of Songs (created in 2015)
An exciting selection of great song-hits from Medieval times till today. The programme includes music by Pergolesi, 13th century Cantigas de Santa Maria, Manuel de Falla, Luciano Berio, The Beatles and Frank Zappa a.o
BLACK PENCIL- KAISEKI (created in 2014)
Inspired by the finest Japanse cuisine 'kaiseki'. The relationship cooking, eating and music is explored making use of new music and multimedia. Works by a.o. Arnoud Noordegraaf, Roderik de Man and Marcel Wierckx. In collaboration with the chef Patrick Faas.

The programme Buffoni! draws its inspiration from the Commedia dell’Arte. The new compositions are connected to each other by Interludes and own arrangements of master works inspired by Commedia dell’Arte, such as Ouverture Burlesque by Telemann and Suite italienne by Stravinsky a.o.

Acta Numérica (created in 2009-2010)
Orde en waanzin van getalsverhoudingen is het leitmotif van deze productie. Verplaatsingen in ruimte en tijd vormen een wezenlijk onderdeel van het beeld. Deze wordt live gegenereerd en bewerkt. De artistieke uitgangspunt hiervoor is synesthesie, met de nadruk op vorm.
FUZZ (created in 2009-2010)

A multimedia installation about intimacy. An innovative, sensorial theatre created for one spectator. A theatre installation in which odours, sound, image and temperature changes provide an all-round experience.

The composers Roderik de Man and Arnoud Noordegraaf have written one-man-art musictheatre works for Jorge Isaac. OMONIA (the Greek word for "each-others compliment", "complete") is a multilingual unification of sound and visual media through which the spectator is drawn to observe in various layers.
A circular story of obsession and transformation. Four characters –Apicius, The Hired Chef and the slaves- , music, dance, space and video develop the plot. The story follows the obsession of a chef, the musician character, and its desperate search for the perfect recipe.
Notes from Anatolia (created in 2008, Research)

A practice-based research on the musician’s corporeality and theatricality in a live performance context, in which New Media collaborates with his craft/corporeality, mediating sounds and actions to create a meaningful (performance) space.
